What MedLit provides
MedLit provides a way to search and browse records from PubMed, read available article information and PubMed Central full text, save papers locally, and create or share citations and links. Availability of records and full text depends on NCBI, publishers, and other third parties. Features may change or become unavailable.
Research and medical information
MedLit is for informational and research use. It is not a medical service, and content in the App is not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Do not rely on it as a substitute for professional judgment. Verify important facts with the original publication and consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical decisions.
Third-party content and permissions
PubMed records, abstracts, articles, figures, and other materials may belong to their authors or publishers. Access to an article, including free-to-read access, does not by itself grant permission to copy, redistribute, or use it commercially. Check the license and copyright notice for each work and obtain any additional permission required for your use. You are responsible for complying with applicable rights and terms.
External links take you to services with their own terms and privacy policies. MedLit does not control their content, availability, or practices. See data sources and attribution for more detail.
Responsible use
Use MedLit in a way that respects applicable law, third-party rights, and NCBI's service rules. Do not use the App to systematically retrieve or redistribute content beyond what the relevant service and content licenses permit. The App may limit or change access if needed to protect its operation or comply with service requirements.
No affiliation or warranty
MedLit is an independent product and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by NCBI, NLM, NIH, publishers, or authors. The App and its information are provided as available, without a guarantee of accuracy, completeness, uninterrupted access, or fitness for a particular purpose. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the developer is not responsible for losses arising from use of the App or reliance on third-party content.
